Notes for: Casseline F. Hicks

As of 7-10-99, there is a name conflict for Casline F. vs Caroline H. Hicks. The family register indicates the parents of Zackery Taylor Harris as Addison Elisha Harris and Cassie (Hicks) Harris. The 1850 Crawford County Census, indicates that Caroline H. Harris was in the home of E.A. Harris. The book "Crawford County Marriages 1823-1875, indicates that E.A. Harris obtained a marriage license, to wed Caroline H. Wicks. The "W" is an obvious error. However, viewing the actual license at the courthouse has not been accomplished as of yet. The children listed on the census seem to fit the family; except for James Elisha Harris. The census shows a six year old Elisha A. Harris, and it is HOPED, that this really should be the James Elisha, we know, and have record of. The name box is blank on the 1870 census; however the rest of the information fits for Casseline.
