This photos shows part of the foyer wall. It is mostly superadobe, also called earth bag building. I put up a roof prior to using the cob and then build the cob up to the roof. There are hand cut poles supporting the walls, but when the cob is complete the support will be distributed between the beams and the cob. At some future point I plan on adding a ferro-cement roof, thus the cob walls will be better able to handle the weight of that type of roof better than the poles.
