Those Pesky details This is just two little detail type pictures. The one above shows a buttress for the vault that you saw the motorcycle in a previous photo. When Building vaults it's always a good idea to buttress them. The vault itself is superadobe and the buttress is cob. I've been thinking of putting a plant there, maybe a small fountain. If you'd like to see the vault when it was all alone, then click here and the you can hit the back button to return here. This is the vault I put up for the buttress in the photo to the top right. The next photo shows where due to the sun's ray's, the bags deteriorate over time unless they are plastered. This is not a big deal as I just plaster over the compacted earth itself. This pink colour is just a lime plaster with some red pigment painted over the earth to help protect it. This particual section is outside.
