The permanent proto-type kitchen counter
Well this is my temporary kitchen counter. I use the term around here
called permanent proto-type as based on the speed I am building, temporary
solutions sometimes seem permanent. Of course, they well might end up that
way if I don't finish.
The photo above shows the light coming thru the windows in the evening.
The dome section of this house is actually much lighter (natural light)
than the outer area even thought the outer area has more windows.
That is because the sky light in the dome really lets in light.
I mean it's quite amazing how much light the dome gets during the day and
even during a full moon.
I know the counter is pretty junky, but I have since cleaned up and even
did a bit of moving and shuffling of the kitchen. I'm closing down the dome
and moving every thing from the outer areas. The dome will be the last area
finished.
The Cob walls have hand pealed logs embedded here and there and that
2 x 4 board you see in the photo is nailed to two of those logs. It will
be used to hang pots and pans and such.
