Painted wall by kitchen
One thing that jumps out at me is how the wall sort of juts out. I was
trying to make a wider window sill to lay stuff on. It added more work as
every inch wider a wall is, it means that much more earth to haul, mix, etc.
I've taken to painting my lime pasters on rather than actually making a
plaster. It sort of a paint consistency. Prior to this I made a regular
plaster with the lime and hand plastered it over the earth but I found this
technique to be much faster, use less materials and be just as effective.
With the texture of my earth, I have to seal it with something or
else there would be dust everywhere. This is just the nature
of my local material. Every location is differnt when building
with earth. Here I'm not quite finished with the lime painting.
That's a wood burning stove in the corner which is pretty hard to see.
