Crawford County's combined celebration of our heritage and pottery tradition is set for May 15, 2010, and it's not too soon to plan for a bigger-than-ever gathering of friends and visitors. We expect this year's festival to bring more than 3,000 people to Crawford County, making it our largest visitor event.
JugFest/Old Knoxville Days brings family entertainment to our area at no admission or parking cost. It brings history lovers and pottery lovers from throughout the state and beyond to taste the good life and community spirit of Middle Georgia. And it brings you the chance to associate yourself with a regional yet community event targeted to a specific audience.
We are planning many offerings for this year's festival, including more musical entertainment and old-time skills demonstrations. In addition to the pottery exhibit and auction, entertainment will include a tractor show, a hit-and-miss engine show, a car show, hands-on pottery activities, children's carnival, lawnmower races and arts and crafts sales. Leading up to Saturday's events, the wood kiln will be fired, experts will identify local pottery at a lunch-and-learn event, and - new this year - the Georgia JugFest Peaches and Pork Cook-off, featuring the best local Brunswick stew, peach cobbler and vegetable soup will be held.
Several sponsorship levels are suggested here and the festival committee is more than willing to work with sponsors on any adjustments deemed appropriate:
	$250 – Listed as sponsor in festival program, on banner at festival entrance, and in newspaper advertisement; two complimentary raffle tickets (high-end pottery, folk art and craft pieces)
	$500 – Recognition listed above plus your company’s sign on display; four complimentary raffle tickets; festival t-shirt
	$750 – Recognition listed above plus your company’s sign and product on display (access to visitors for sampling and/or surveying, not sales); six complimentary raffle tickets; two free festival t-shirts
	$1,000 – Recognition listed above plus your sign or ours (your choice) listing you as provider of a specific service (children's hand-on pottery activities, children’s rides, festival signage; etc. – you may request that your name not be tied with a specific feature); company representative/display booth with demonstration product on site if desired; prominent mention on festival website and in all press releases and advertising; eight complimentary raffle tickets; two festival t-shirts; souvenir pottery designed by Mark Merritt and Shelby West
	Major Sponsor – Underwrite a festival event such as a performance by a regional band , or a festival venue such as the folk potters' tent, or part of the marketing such as a television advertising campaign (estimated $2000 cost for each). Sponsors in this category receive the above recognition plus a link from Georgia JugFest website to sponsor website and more prominent recognition in all advertising.
Size and prominence of listings in all media correspond to the level of sponsorship. We will happily attempt to honor any other recognition requests. Proceeds from Old Knoxville Days help the Crawford County Historical Society in restoration of the old courthouse. Other JugFest proceeds benefit the Chamber's community-building and business promotion projects. We appreciate your consideration and hope to see you at Georgia JugFest/Old Knoxville Days.
